Forecasts of demand for Manganese chemicals by the battery industry are becoming increasingly bullish, although high purity Mn sulphate supply and demand figures for 2021 suggest a significant production surplus, as Chinese companies continue expanding capacity in anticipation of rising demand. Outside China, several companies announced HP MSM projects, but producing high purity Manganese chemicals is very challenging technically.
