Manganese Slag Socio-Economic Analysis

The report presents the results of the first global study on the socioeconomic value of Mn alloy slags. Drawing on information from literature review and consultation (with actors from both within and outside of the Mn industry), it analyses how Mn alloy slags are used globally, the contribution of Mn alloy slags to global and regional GDP, direct and indirect employment related to Mn slag production as well as the environmental benefits of using Mn alloy slag in downstream applications. The report is accompanied by a second separate document on the regulatory status of Mn alloy slag.
