Dr. Croy is the Group Leader for the Materials Research Group at Argonne National Laboratory, USA. The group focuses on the design, synthesis, and characterization of high-energy, lithium-ion electrode materials.

Dr. Croy also leads a consortium for the U.S. Department of Energy consisting of ~50 individual researchers across five U.S. national laboratories.

The program, called Earth-Abundant Cathode Materials (EaCAM), is aimed at enabling next-generation, sustainable cathodes solutions with an emphasis on the use of earth-abundant elements such as manganese. Dr. Croy received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Central Florida, USA.
