🌍 IMnI Webinar: Final Benchmark Results from the Life Cycle Assessment of Manganese Products – 2024 Update

On 16 July, IMnI hosted a webinar presenting the results of its updated benchmark Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of manganese products, based on 2024 production data and aligned with ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 standards.

The session brought together more than 30 participants from across the manganese value chain, reflecting strong interest in understanding the environmental performance of manganese products and identifying opportunities for further improvement.

During the webinar, Sphera, IMnI’s LCA partner, presented the key findings of the study, including comparisons with the previous 2021 benchmark and insights into the main environmental drivers across the value chain.

🗣️ The Q&A session demonstrated strong participant engagement, with discussions covering factors influencing LCA results, opportunities to reduce environmental impacts through energy and process improvements, and the potential application of LCA data in areas such as Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).
