IMnI Launches the 2025 Manganese Life Cycle Assessment

The International Manganese Institute (IMnI) is pleased to announce the launch of the 2025 edition of its Manganese Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) project.

This important research will assess the life-cycle environmental profile of global manganese production, offering stakeholders reliable and representative data on its environmental impacts.

In response to feedback from manganese producers, this edition will focus on the cradle-to-gate environmental impacts of producing 8 manganese products: Mn ore, Mn alloys (HC FeMn, Ref. FeMn, SiMn), EMD, EMM, and MnSO₄ (both agriculture-grade and battery-grade).
