A report published by the International Manganese Institute compiling the main news of the institute and the Manganese industry in 2024. Looking back at 2024, we are proud to share a year marked by significant achievements and continued momentum:

  • IMnI membership reaching a record high of 131 Member companies, thanks to 18 new companies joining the Institute in 2024,
  • exceptional IMnI Conference in Oman last June, with a record attendance of 250+ international delegates from 120 companies,
  • organisation of an IMnI webinar on Manganese sustainability,
  • organisation of a networking cocktail for IMnI Members,  in November in Istanbul,
  • organisation of a banquet dinner for IMnI Members, in February in Hong Kong,
  • publication of the most accurate market research information on Manganese, based on statistics collected directly from Manganese producers all over the world,
  • publication of several new reports about Manganese chemicals used in batteries for electric vehicles,
  • publication of several scientific studies funded by the IMnI, to improve Manganese sustainability.

In the areas of market research and sustainability, it makes better business sense for companies to act together than alone.

And the IMnI enters 2025 resolved to bring increased value to its Members.
