Safety Data Sheets and Factsheets

Publications

A Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is a critical document that identifies hazardous materials and provides detailed information about their associated risks. Offering more in-depth hazard details than product labels, the SDS also includes safety guidelines for handling the hazardous substance, as well as clear instructions on the necessary steps to take in case of an emergency. IMnI’s SDSs focus specifically on the hazards of manganese-based substances produced by our members, aiming to improve safety through proper classification and labeling. The hazard information in these sheets is sourced from published literature and studies conducted in line with internationally recognized guidelines.

A Factsheet is a concise, easy-to-read document that presents essential information on a specific topic, often using bullet points or visuals to simplify complex concepts. IMnI’s Factsheet series serves as a valuable tool to communicate intricate scientific research and findings in a clear, accessible format. This series helps company executives understand critical issues related to health, safety, environmental matters, and more, within the manganese industry.

Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Factsheets developed by IMnI are available exclusively to IMnI members as part of their membership benefits. For more information, please contact us at hse@manganese.org
