The International Manganese Institute (IMnI) is an official media partner of the International Critical Minerals and Metals Summit: Indonesia 2026, taking place 27 to 30 September at the InterContinental Resort Bali, Jimbaran.

Now in its third edition and co-located with CT Asia 2026, this is the senior-level forum dedicated to Indonesia's role at the intersection of critical minerals supply, battery materials, and the global energy transition. It brings together the decision-makers shaping how Indonesia's mineral wealth moves through the global supply chain: upstream miners and processors, battery materials producers, OEMs, commodity traders, investors, and policymakers.

For the manganese community, the 2026 programme is particularly relevant. As battery chemistry continues to shift toward higher-manganese cathode formulations, including LMFP and HEM, Indonesia's position as a strategic supplier of critical minerals intersects directly with the supply chain conversations our members are navigating. The programme covers cathode and precursor economics, downstream qualification requirements, battery demand from EVs and energy storage, and the pricing and supply dynamics reshaping the sector.

DSI (Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia), one of the most significant policy developments in Indonesia's commodities sector in recent years, also features prominently on the programme. A dedicated panel examines what the new state-controlled export framework means in practice for contracts, pricing, trade flows, and foreign investment across Indonesian strategic commodities.

The broader programme includes dedicated sessions on nickel and HPAL economics, cobalt and copper supply chains, aluminium and tin strategy, investment and project finance, and ESG compliance under CBAM and HRDD.
