Health, Safety and Environment Committee Overview
- To identify key HSE topics that could impact the global manganese (Mn) industry.
- To conduct and support scientific projects that enhance HSE knowledge within the Mn industry.
- To deliver timely information, resources, and guidance to the IMnI Members, enabling them to proactively advocate for their interests and effectively respond to emerging regulatory proposals.
- To establish and maintain a global network of HSE experts who can provide specialized support to the IMnI as needed.
Health, Safety and Environment Committee Policy
The Health, Environmental and Safety Committee shall be responsible for the organization and guidance of IMnI’s activities relating to Health, Environmental, and Safety issues regarding manganese products.

Rocklin Reed
Rocklin Reed joined the Ore & Metal Company as Group Senior Manager for Safety Health Environment Risk & Quality (SHERQ) in 2017. After initially studying and qualifying in the field of Analytical Chemistry, Rocklin has fulfilled various HSE Specialist, Project and Leadership roles within BHP Billiton (Aluminium) and Rio Tinto (Titanium and Heavy Minerals) over a period of 21 years. Rocklin's position is now Group Manager: Sustainability.

Augenija has extensive experience in Commodities Sales and Marketing. Prior to joining Omni, Augenija has worked for more than 16 years at global mining group BHP, managing sales and sustainable long term supply of natural resources in EMEA, CIS, Americas regions, identifying and implementing synergetic opportunities, building and fortifying business relationships across range of commodities.

HSE and Regulatory Affairs Manager
Dr. Agnieszka Leopold holds a Master of Science in Engineering in Chemical Technology from the Poznan University of Technology in Poznan, Poland and a PhD in Chemical Process Engineering from the Technical University of Catalonia in Barcelona, Spain. She has an extensive knowledge of the world of chemistry gained having worked in the following fields: research and development in chemical engineering, chemical products safety and regulatory affairs compliance, intellectual property (patents, trademarks, confidential agreements) in chemistry.
Laurent MONTCOUTIE
Executive Director
A French national, Laurent has more than 20 years of experience in the metals industry. His metals career started at Eramet where he held various leadership positions in Tokyo, Paris, Taipei and then Shanghai.
More recently, Laurent ran from Singapore the Asian non-ferrous metals book of a Swiss commodities physical trading house, prior to leading from France partnership development and metal feedstock procurement in the traction battery value chain.e.
