Brett Suann has spent the last 18 years working in bulk commodity marketing in London, Tokyo, Singapore and Perth. He has headed up manganese marketing for both BHP Billiton and Consolidated Minerals and now works for Mitsubishi Development in the Iron Ore industry as Vice President Sales and Marketing in Crosslands Resources. Until last year he was head of the Marketing and Communications Committee of the International Manganese Institute.
Jose Antonio Rivero
Mr. Rivero is a successful Mexican entrepreneur. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in IT and his MBA from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. He has also studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Harvard Business School and the International Management and Development Institute in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Mr. Rivero is the Chairman of the Board of Grupo Ferrominero (a diversified holding company with interests in mining, textiles, energy, IT, construction and airlines, among others).
He is also the Chairman of the Board of Minera Autlán and other companies of his group. He is member of the Board Directors of the Mexican Mining Chamber, as well as of two distinguished Mexican universities, such as: Universidad de Monterrey and Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. Mr. Rivero was Chairman of both, the Mexican Mining Chamber, and the International Manganese Institute, from 1999 to 2001.
Arnaud Tissidre is Vice President Commercial Maganese ore & Alloys of Eramet Comilog Manganese. He is French. After graduating from a major French business school (ESSEC), he worked briefly for the French Economic services in Denmark and then held several marketing positions in the automotive and cupper metal industry, in France and abroad. He joined Eramet in 1993. He initially worked for the Nickel.
Division of Eramet where he was in charge of the market research, European ferro-nickel and high purity products sales departments.
He moved in Japan in 1996, as Deputy Managing Director for Eramet International and Managing Director of Eramet Japan. He was in charge of the management of the Sales network in Asia- at the time of the acquisition of Comilog and Elkem Manganese Division by Eramet; In 2004, he was transferred to the Manganese Division of Eramet Comilog where he is Vice President Commercial. Arnaud Tissidre is responsible for the worldwide marketing of Comilog ore and Eramet Comilog Manganese alloys.
Past Chairman of the IMnI (2007-2010), Alastair Stalker was born and educated in Scotland (attaining a B.Sc (Hons) Geology) and in 1972 emigrated to Africa where he worked as an exploration geologist for various companies for 14 years. After completing a postgraduate degree at the University of the Witwatersrand in 1985, he worked in strategic planning, evaluation / project management and marketing for Shell’s Mineral Division.
He has worked for Ore & Metal Company Ltd for the past 17 years and is now the Managing Director, responsible for the marketing, sales and logistics of Assmang’s manganese ore and alloys, ferrochrome, chrome ore and iron ore. He is also an Assmang director and a member of that company’s Excom.
